Based in Wheeling, WV, the Ziegenfelder Company is a private, family-owned frozen novelty manufacturer that focuses solely on producing the highest quality frozen ice novelties, commonly referred to as twin pops. We are the largest manufacturer of twin pops in the country with production facilities in Wheeling, WV; Chino, CA; and Denver, CO.

A Ziegenfelder Logistics Coordinator is responsible for:

· Establish and monitor specific supply chain-based performance/KPI measurement systems.

· Develop and monitor key performance indicators and financial metrics, indicators, and financial metrics, identify trends and analyze variances.

· Weekly freight related tracking of freight cost, lumper fees.

· Schedule and route inbound outbound freight based off delivery dates/use by dates.

· Build working internal relationships revolving around customer service/purchasing groups.

· Maintain relationships with contract carriers, sales force, and customers

· Communicate at the order entry and sales representative level

· Ensure all sales orders and loads are accounted for and delivered as ordered

· Assist in the coordination of shuttles between company facilities

· Responsible for coordinating OS&D issues at the delivery locations

· Create and distribute weekly shipping reports, customer pick up schedules and daily sales order reports

· Communicate with all departments within the company on any logistic developments and changes.

· Ability to adjust daily work schedule as needed to meet production requirements at all locations.

· Ensures regulatory compliance to federal, state, and local agencies (DOT, OSHA, EPA, etc.) by monitoring operational performance.

· College degree preferred; High School/GED required or equivalent experience.

· 2-3 years of Logistics experience with preferred concentration of Manufacturing industry preferred.

· Experience with a rapidly growing company and facilities across the country.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of intellectual curiosity, and a passion and desire to understand and improve upon business processes.

· Ability to instill a positive team environment. Must be able to communicate comfortably with the production associates as well as members of the executive team.

· Excellent communication skills and ability to concisely summarize monthly operating results and future plans with executive staff and others.


· Standing or sitting up to 8 hours per day.

· Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
